What Is the Schedule of the MCAT?

It’s a LONG test day. Testing time is 6 hours 15 minutes and seated time is 7 hours 30 minutes. That’s rough.

The MCAT tests your mental endurance as much as your content knowledge and thinking skills. Moreover, 7 hours 30 minutes is a best-case scenario.

The test day is usually longer due to administrative delays and security measures. But note that the MCAT will be the first of many gruelling marathon tests if you go into medicine. The licensing exams are even lengthier. So it’s best to approach the MCAT as good practice for what’s ahead in your journey in medicine.
