Ashley Olson

Ashley Olson graduated with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Manitoba, and scored a 512 on the MCAT. She is currently studying medicine. Ashley appeared on the Dean’s Honours List every year and was awarded the Canadian Psychological Association Award of Excellence for her undergraduate thesis. Ashley has extensive teaching experience as a private tutor, a TA, and as a guest lecturer. Her engaging style of teaching helps students simplify challenging concepts into coherent ideas. Ashley encourages a relaxed and interactive environment where students can maximize their learning and master the material.

Bob Stanley

Bob Stanley graduated as Class Valedictorian with a B.Sc. majoring in Environmental Chemistry and he later completed a M.Sc.. in Analytical Chemistry. Bob has been a highly rated prep instructor for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry since 2010. He also has teaching experience as a TA for General Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry and he has privately tutored students in Organic Chemistry. Bob likes to use simple analogies to explain complex concepts and he focuses on giving concise explanations to get his points across. Dr. Torah Kachur

(Cars, Bio/Biochem)

Dr. Torah Kachur has completed a B.Sc. (Honors) in Molecular Genetics and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics at the University of Alberta. Torah has extensive experience teaching Biology Labs and Workshops. All of this has enabled her to identify common problem areas for students and the best ways to help you understand difficult concepts. Torah’s teaching style relies on logical analysis and the use of real-world examples to illustrate biological concepts in a simple and concise manner.

Emma Nicholls-Allison

Emma Nicholls-Allison has completed a B.Sc. in Chemistry. She is now working on a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Victoria. Emma is an enthusiastic instructor whose talents in the classroom have been recognized with teaching awards from the Department of Chemistry. Fatemah Habib

(Chem/OChem)

Fatemah Habib has completed an Honours B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences and a Ph.D. in Chemistry. She scored 517 on the MCAT and she is now studying medicine at the Univeristy of Toronto. Fatemah’s research earned her a Vanier Scholarship and focused on molecular magnetic materials and their applications in information storage. Fatemah has always been passionate about teaching and has many years of experience as a TA in all fields of Chemistry, as well as a private tutor for undergraduate students. She believes that learning should involve mechanistic understanding at every step, rather than regurgitation, and she strives to break down complicated concepts and expose their relationship to the basics. Fatemah is a dedicated teacher who is always willing to answer questions.

Janine Van Veghel

Janine Van Veghel is a recent graduate of Mechanical Engineering (Biomechanical Specialisation) from Queen’s University, and scored a 512 on the MCAT. She has been tutoring for over five years and has taught a variety of subjects including: calculus, physics, astronomy, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and dynamic motion. Janine’s problem solving and critical thinking skills combined with her knowledge of physics allow her to excel at MCAT Physics passages. Kate Kennedy

Kate Kennedy holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Biomedical Sciences and scored a 35M on the MCAT, including a 14 in Verbal Reasoning and an 11 in Biological Sciences. She is currently a studying for a Master’s degree in Microbiology at the University of Waterloo. Kate’s teaching experience includes five years as a certified Canadian Yachting Association sailing instructor. More recently, she has acted as a TA for upper year Biology courses in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Biotechnology. Kate’s teaching style encourages active participation to facilitate recall of core concepts.

Manal Sheikh

Manal Sheikh holds a B.Comm, having graduated with distinction, she scored a 510 on the MCAT. She is a current MSc student at the University of Calgary. Manal has previous experience as a teaching assistant at the university level and also as an independent tutor in cross-disciplinary subjects. Her teaching style is interactive and she likes students to question the material they are learning to get a more comprehensive grasp of the subject. Robby Wang
